Career Enrichment Program
The Career Enrichment Program is an exciting approach to enhancing the experience of our A and B Band employees (i.e. administrators, accounts, assistants, operators, coordinators, personal assistants, technicians, coordinators, maintainers, officers and trainer assessors). The program helps build their future-readiness through learning and development opportunities. The program assists employees to plan for a rich and rewarding career and maximise every development opportunity on offer. The program includes:
- a dedicated Career Enrichment Portal,
- ability to apply for two development days each year,
- expressing interest in moving into other roles,
- career planning and pathways tools,
- LinkedIn Learning access to develop new and deepen existing skills, and
- learning resources and modules.
As part of the Career Enrichment Program, our employees can access more than 13,000 expert-led online learning items through LinkedIn Learning for free. LinkedIn Learning delivers the right training to employees through personalised course recommendations based on their job role, skillset and experience level. It offers training for every function at all levels with beginner to advanced courses across core functional areas including sales, marketing, finance, operations, IT, software and web development, customer service and more. There are also hundreds of topics covering leadership skills, time management, problem solving, peer relationships, conflict management, project management, communication and presentation skills.

Skills Development Program
Our Skills Development Program helps our people identify the skills and knowledge required to be more effective in their current role.
We provide free access for all our employees to the Learn2Learn App, which uses the latest evidence-based research around learning and performance to help you develop real-world learning techniques aimed at accelerating your growth.
The app is a pocket-sized course, coach and cheat sheet that helps you learn faster and smarter via;
- short animations,
- engaging infographics,
- a quick reference guide, and
- a personalised action list.
The Roy Hill Learning Community is a committee of Roy Hill employees who volunteer their own time to provide our people and their families with opportunities for personal learning and development. It also provides an opportunity for greater social interaction both on and off site, providing support to better manage the FIFO lifestyle. For example, employees and their families can attend workshops on sleep and fatigue management, how to better communicate in relationships and personal development workshops, as well as first aid training, drone information and training sessions, and cooking classes.
All our employees have their own tailored Learning Plan, which includes a variety of different online training and learning opportunities.
As part of our commitment to providing our people with the development and training to reach their full potential, we offer apprenticeship opportunities to our current employees, their family members and our Traditional Owners. Apprenticeships opportunities include standard fixed, plant and mobile maintenance trades.
